So as awesome as it would be if our kids could actually survive off cereal bars, frozen waffles and hot dogs - that ain't happening SO we have found a few favorite meals and different ways to sneak in some healthy goods!
- Recipes. Now I'm not saying every meal is a hit and you KNOW one day is different then the next BUT the recipes listed below - full recipes at the end of the blog are our go-tos! And it must be said I am NOT a buffet. So the kids will eat a variation of what we eat - mexican salads, they have the same protein but in a quesedilla. Turkey Bolognese over pasta for them and spaghetti squash for me! These are some of the things I bring to my challenge groups - easy to make, family friendly, meal plan approved recipes! No guesswork!
- Smoothies: I am going to toot my own horn for a minute. Sometimes I throw extra ice in the blender and the kids think they're having ice cream for breakfast! #coolestmomever But seriously. I get asked all the time if it's ok to give Shake-O to kids! Um heck yes! I do it on the daily - they actually ASK for it on the daily. Little do they know its all the nutritional value they need (to offset those waffles and hot dogs #keepingitreal) and if you have some allergies we also have a product called Daily Sunshine made SPECIFICALLY for kids - and PICKY kids at that!
- Cereal Bars: I could honestly buy stock in Nutrigrain and Belvitas bars and have you READ the ingredients in there? #terrifying this is why I am SO freaking excited for the release of BeachBARs! They are all natural (no gluten, no trans fat, no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives and they're freaking DELICIOUS. They will be our morning go-to in this house from now on!
