One Week into working out with Mr.Parker

Brian and I met almost 15 years ago.  Never once in that time did I think we’d be working out together.

BUT here we are and I could NOT be happier about it.

Week one of Core de Force in the books and the first thing I’ll say is we didn’t skip ONE workout!  Life happens.  Cullen misses a nap, the kids don’t listen, the day gets away from us, we really want to sit on the couch BUT we got it done….EVERY single day.  Something about that extra accountability that won’t let you even ask the question “want to skip today?!”

And secondly I want to say that I have been a fitness instructor for about 4 years now and have been rotating through BB programs for the past 3 years (T25, 21DF, 21DFX, 22MHC and a few others) and I have NEVER been so sore in my entire life.

I think it’s safe to assume as much as I think I’ve been kicking my own butt knowing #mrparker is right next to me doing one more rep or holding that plank for a little longer than me got competitiveness going.  The inner athlete came out and I found myself focusing on my form, reaching just a little further and working just a little bit harder.  He may be in trouble because if I continue to work at this rate I’m making him work out with me forever - can you IMAGINE him Turbo Jamming?! HAHA

This program is killer.  It’s traditional moves but transitioning in such a way where you are constantly changing and “turning your core on” to support and control the movements. The Pilates Nerd in me LOVES that I’m kicking my own butt with only my body weight!  I also love that #mrparker is new to a lot of these moves and thinks they’re pseudo ridiculous - because they are - but they are SO effective.  Hello Sphinx Push ups?!?!

Since we’re in the truth circle I’ll also say we’ve eaten great BUT we’ve had a few adult beverages every night this week (STOP JUDGING ME!) and even WITH all that wine - I’m down 3lbs.  I’ll take it!

Heading into Week #2 strong and refocused on nixing the vino!  My recommendations to YOU - get yourself an accountability partner.  Husband, Wife, Mother, Father, child  - WHOEVER  It doesn’t have to be in your home.  Just get one.

This accountability is probably why I love our Challenge Groups so much!  Knowing there is a group of people putting in the work and WAITING for you to tell them you got your sweat on and ate clean makes you make those smart decisions...even when you don’t want to!

Want that extra support and accountability but don’t know who to ask - ME!  I’m here for you and I LOVE playing that role!  The B-Team and I have a few options starting in Dec so holler if you’re interested!
