Control the Controllable

I was hesitant to share this while we were in the think of it all but who am I to censor anything AND it was a HUGE part of my coping so here we go…

I am a fixer by nature.  Situations, people, things - my insanity knows no boundaries and it consumes me.  If I am unable to “fix” whatever it is at the given moment, run for the hills because I obsess and it’s all I can talk about.  Needless to say, my husband is a SAINT.

We had our family pictures scheduled last Thursday with the fabulous Rebekah Kay Photography (shameless plug because my friend is the BEST) and I had ordered the 3 Day Refresh to do leading up to our shoot!

This was my plan LONG before I got the news of my grandfather so here I am smacked in the face with this terrible situation that came out of left field and I’m cleansing.  Sad AND hungry - just kidding I actually wasn’t hungry for the majority of the 3 days.

Here’s where the stars aligned again…

This refresh allowed me to “Control the Controllable” in a situation where I had absolutely NO control.  Things escalated quickly and somehow sticking to this regimen and staying on point became my distraction.

I’ll be honest - there are times I am genuinely concerned about my love for wine.

Bad day - wine.

Aggravated - wine.

Dinner Time - wine.

Not even a bad day just being a WFHM - wine.

In stressful and sad situations my FIRST instinct is to grab a glass (more like a bottle - don’t judge) and numb the pain.  I am SO proud of myself for staying on track for the 3 days because I didn’t reach for the wine and I didn’t need (or want) it really.

On top of that, I occupied my mind and I potted down the bad habits that usually come with stressful situations ALL while giving my system the jumpstart it needed to head into my next program feeling strong and ready.  The results weren't too bad themselves...

And the ever popular Before & After pics...

With the holidays around the corner the gluttony and bad habits are just waiting to creep in - if you want to be proactive and anticipate a clean break from a period of unhealthy eating and drinking - this is the thing for you!

We’ll get you in an accountability group and be sure you have the support and motivation to do this for YOU during the busiest season of the year!  You deserve it :)
