But before we get to that, let's start at the beginning...
In 2013 I quit my advertising gig because although the paycheck was amazing (moment of silence for that) I was NEVER home. I would wake up before Em woke up to get my workout in and catch the 7am train a few cities over - > Work all day and RUN home to get about 30 mins with her before bed. Wash, Rinse, Repeat. Add in my traveling schedule (5am trains to NY, flying all over the country - > and I would sometimes go days without seeing her. It wasn’t how I envisioned motherhood, it wasn’t how Brian or I wanted to raise our family. SO I QUIT - I’m sure everyone thought I was insane BUT I knew it was right. At the same time I started teaching Pilates classes a few times a week.
I went from cog in the wheel to LOVING being with my girl all day and then teaching at night. Then something weird happened. I started to kind of lose myself - I LOVED being home but I felt like a professional butt wiper, I missed using my brain & adult interaction - and somehow this coaching opportunity came at the exact time I needed it. I said “HECK NO” for awhile - I mean I JUST told my husband I was quitting my job to teach pilates I could NOT take anything else on BUT I felt a pull towards the community so I joined as a challenger.
I was plugged into a group FILLED with ladies who shared similar lifestyles, likes, fears etc. I found my people AND with the absolutely best workout programs, meal plans and Shakeology I also became the healthiest I had ever been. A complete 180!!! I wanted every single mom who felt like they kinda lost theirselves to not just find themselves again but to create this new LIT UP version of themselves.
AND IT WAS IN THAT MOMENT- WITH ALL THE CRAZY NERVES AND EXCITEMENT OF STARTING SOMETHING NEW - THAT I DECIDED TO OFFICIALLY SAY YES TO PARTNERING WITH TEAM BEACHBODY, & ADD NETWORK MARKETING TO MY WORLD.
Was I terrified? Yes.
Was I worried about partnering with a network marketing company? Hell yes.
But I knew that I wanted to start something on another level and that I would never start a run of the mill network marketing biz.
I wanted to start a movement that would enable multipassionate goofy go-getter mamas just like me who partner with me to be able to create their own incredibly successful businesses...
AND THAT'S WHERE THE PATH TO LIVING YOUR F*CK YES LIFE COMES IN...
The B Team was created in that moment - just me, myself and I. I would run team calls and put together trainings and I didnt even have a team. I was a sponge to coaches who have already found success and I showed up for years as the coach I wanted to attract.
Life happened - infertility, Brians injury and moving a few times but my business was the one consistent. Like a little engine that could chugging along in the few free minutes I would have in my days.
In 2018 we became pregnant with our third AND COMPLETE surprise child and the realization that kids are expensive paired with my physical inability to teach a ton of classes; I turned to my business and went ALL IN.
The team grew, my confidence in the biz grew along with it and I’ve since created easy to follow systems that make starting your BB biz as streamlined, automated & authentic as possible. I hear you. When I first found out that Team Beachbody was a network marketing company, the first thing i wanted to do was RUN. I was TERRIFIED of becoming that spammy and salesy Facebook friend that we block as soon as we possibly can...
